“OUT on the Job Market”
Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 4:30 pm in the Multicultural Resource Center
A collaboration between UNCG PRIDE! and the Office of Multicultural Affairs, facilitated by a UNCG Safe Zone–trained ally
This workshop is designed to help LGBTQ students and allies understand how to navigate a job search. Students will learn how to determine if companies are gay-friendly, how to articulate who they are without outing themselves (if they do not choose), how to pose questions regarding benefits and other sensitive topics that would influence their decisions to work for the company in question, etc.
