Wednesday, August 20
8:00 am–8:30 am Bus loads on Stirling Street (in front of the EUC) for Haw River Park Conference Center in Browns Summit. Departs promptly at 8:30 am WEAR YOUR LINKUP T-SHIRT!
9:00 am–11:30 am“LinkUp” with new classmates and participate in some activities to get to know one another
11:30 am–12:30 pm Lunch
12:30 pm–1:30 pm “LinkUp” to talk about options for your major and develop a course plan for your career
Get started right by knowing how to plan your semester for success!
1:30 pm–2:30 pm “LinkUp” and get tips on staying healthy and well while juggling the demands of college
2:30 pm–3:30 pm “LinkUp” and learn how to study in college
3:30 pm-4:30 pm “LinkUp” for Academic Advising with academic advisors and LinkUp mentors
4:30 pm–5:30 pm “Keepin’ It Real About Student Success”—Get advice from LinkUp mentors on cultural resources and services and how to create a meaningful college experience
5:30 pm Bus loads and departs for Celebration Station
Dinner and outing
Enjoy bumper boats and go-kart rides at Celebration Station as you continue to get to know fellow classmates. There will also be a Pizza Buffet for you right in the park!
