"Expressions: A Celebration of Life"Ben Clark teaches all levels of the visual arts, including beginning photography, at TC Roberson High School in Asheville, NC. He still uses 33mm film, an SLR camera and processes his photographs in a darkroom. The photographs on display in the Multicultural Resource Center are from a collection of images from his travels to Greece, Israel, New Zealand, and the United States over the past three years. These photographs depict real life situations, expressions of real emotions and real events. His intention is to show the viewer different cultures, traditions, and events that most might never have the chance to witness or participate in.
Four different exhibits are mounted in the Multicultural Resource Center during the academic year, two each semester. Pictured below are examples from some of the exhibits to date. Visit the art wall, think about the culture that inspired the work on view and get a conversation started among your classmates! You can also meet the artist at specially scheduled reception times!
