The Office of Multicultural Affairs, in collaboration with UNCG’s Asian Students Association, is bringing the one-man comedy show of Eliot Chang to UNCG on Thursday, April 12, in celebration of Asian Pacific Heritage Week. Chang will perform his stand-up comedy routine, “Let’s Die Laughing,” followed by a 45 minute Q&A workshop, “Asians in the Media.”
Here’s what has been said about the comedian and his performance:
“Eliot Chang is not what you expect. His stand up comedy is honest, never predictable, and doesn’t rely on stereotypes. He electrifies the stage with confidence and blows away your expectations with smart funny comedy. No other performer offers such a groundbreaking event. The night is a fun blend of entertainment and education. The comedy show “breaks the ice” and warms up the crowd to talk about cultural issues. This event brings people of different backgrounds together to discuss serious topics in a comfortable appealing manner.”
Chang’s TV appearances include Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend,” NBC’s “Law & Order: SVU,” and Spike TV’s “Crash Test.”
